    IJOCTA, which has been published bi-annually since 2011, has become one of the prestigious journals in its field and has managed to be indexed in major databases.
    We are pleased to share that our journal will continue its journey with four issues per year (in January, April, July, and October) as of 2024. This is a natural result of the increasing number of high-quality submissions to our journal, and the effort to contribute to the dynamics of academic publishing. We sincerely appreciate all the authors, reviewers, and editors for their growing support.

  • IJOCTA receives its first Impact Factor of 1.6

    It is a great pleasure for us to announce that IJOCTA has received its first Impact Factor of 1.6 based on the Journal Citation Reports™ from Clarivate, 2022.

    The impact factor of a journal is calculated by dividing the number of current year citations to the source items published in that journal during the previous two years. With this accomplishment, the valuable content of the journal gains increased visibility among wider audiences, leading to benefits for both the authors and the research community.

    We would like to express our gratitude to the editorial team, reviewers, authors, and readers who have made great contributions to this success.

  • The Success, Sustainability and Impact of IJOCTA

    Dear colleagues, friends, and researchers;

    As you know our journal, “An International Journal of Optimization and Control: Theories & Applications (IJOCTA)” ISSN: 2146-0957, eISSN: 2146-5703, was founded in 2010 and since its first issue published in 2011, IJOCTA has published 27 issues strictly following its timeline. It has been accepted for inclusion in Scopus since 2018 and currently has a CiteScore of 2.6 (as of June 2022), which has gradually increased from 1.2 (2019) and 1.7 (2020) in parallel to its growing reputation in the field of optimization and control.

    With the continuing support it received from the authors, reviewers, and editors from all around the world, IJOCTA has been accepted to be indexed in WOS-Emerging Sources Citation Index, starting from the issues published since 2020. It will receive an impact factor soon according to the rules and guidelines by Clarivate Analytics.

    Dear Authors, Readers, Researchers, Peer Reviewers and Editors of IJOCTA,

    In line with its main purpose of our journal, we want to inform all of you about some changes that will benefit to keep the actuality of papers and provide your valuable contributions to the relevant areas more rapidly.

    • For accepted papers, unlimited and immediate online access to full article with DOI number and full bibliographic details (i.e. volume, issue, and page numbers) will be provided as soon as peer-review is completed and the requirements of the editorial process is fulfilled. In this regard, we expect from all contributors to continue their contributions taking into account this subject.
    • IJOCTA is a biannual, peer-reviewed open access journal which is published in both printed and online versions. I want to highlight that this policy will continue to do so.
